...And I'm getting a new car.
Well, not NEW new, but new to me.
My Jeep has just been getting worse and worse. I can't even take it over 45mph now. I know what's wrong with it, and I know that it would probably take a minimum of $400 to $800 to fix, but the car is just not worth that much to me, and I know that's not the only problem on it that needs fixed. I only paid $1000 for it in the first place, and I've gotten a good year and a half out of it, so I've certainly gotten my money's worth. Add to that the fact that we need to put some money into upkeep for Anna's car. All that adds up.
So, this week I'm car shopping. And I hope to be in a new vehicle within a few days. I'm trying to strike a delicate balance between budget and features. It's harder than it seems.
And that's about all that's going on in my life right now. The only new thing, that is.
I'm still working. The hotel is changing hands; it will be a Marriott before the end of the month. The switchover has been a disorganized mess, and the hotel has lost about half it's staff due to green card issues (or lack thereof) and employment paperwork being out of date or incomplete. But that's what happens when illegals make up over half your employees. Things will settle down and normalize in a few weeks.
I hope.
That's all I've got today. Cheers everyone.
